Requests and Quotes

How can I get a quote?

Contact us to receive a rough estimate, or book a consultation with us to receive an accurate price. Book a Call.

What if I would like extra cleaning?

Simply request the additional service through the “request” button in your client hub (you will have access once your account has been set up and the quote approved) or contact us at info@verdecleaning or 519-536-3561.

Why will my initial clean be more expensive than my other regularly scheduled services?

Through our professional experience, we have found that the first cleaning service brings a home up to a specific standard. This includes potentially time-consuming activities such as removing mildew, soap scum, excessive dust and dirt. That’s why our initial cleaning may cost more than the rest of your services. Your Clean

Will I always have the same cleaners?

Try to keep cleaners as consistent as possible. However, the main goal is to get your home cleaned to standard on a requested frequency basis.

How long will the cleaners be at my location?

That depends on the service and intensity of the cleaning. Explore our service pages to learn more about our services and estimates.

Who supplies the cleaning products and equipment?

Verde Cleaning takes care of all products and supplies, including, but not limited to, cleaning products, vacuums, mops, steam cleaners, window systems and carpet cleaners.

Is there anything I need to do before you arrive?

No. There’s no need to move anything, clean anything or worry about anything. Now is your time to relax and let us get to work. If the job is significantly more work than originally quoted, we will contact you to let you know the updated cost before we start.

 

Of course, you are welcome to remove items which you feel are fragile or wish to have out of the way.

Do I stay or leave when you clean?

The choice is yours! You may leave while we clean so there is no additional hassle for you while we are on location (especially with intensive deep cleans) however we know not everyone can make it out, and we will work around each other.

Cancellations + Rescheduling

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel for longer than 72 hours, you will not be charged. Within 24–72 hours will result in a 50% charge of the cleaning. If there is less than 24 hours notice, we will have to charge the full clean amount.

 

Reschedules or skipped maintenance cleans result in a 3% surcharge per missed week due to the accumulation of dirt/dust over time, and more maintenance will then be needed.

 

If we cannot complete the job upon arrival (no access to hot water, no electricity, home not accessible, etc), full cleaning will be charged.

What if I need to reschedule?

We understand that life happens. If you need to change your cleaning appointment, simply inform our office at least 72 business hours before your scheduled cleaning, and you will be able to reschedule at no charge.

What if my scheduled cleaning service falls on a holiday?

If one of your routine cleanings falls on a holiday, we’ll reach out to you in advance to reschedule. We’ll do our best to work with your schedule. If you require additional cleaning services due to the holiday, please let us know well in advance, and we will ensure your home or business is ready for the events.

Pets

Are you pet friendly?

Yes, however, we recommend securing your pets before our cleaners’ arrival. This is because pets walking over freshly mopped floors can cause a mess, and we never know what the relationship between a pet and a cleaner will be.

Finances

How do I pay?

We accept cheque, e-transfer and credit card (3% fee).

Do your cleaners accept tips?

Yes. Tips are logged and paid out to whoever was on location. It’s not expected, but certainly appreciated by our cleaners for a job well done.

We offer a range of cleaning services for homeowners, business owners, institutional managers, and developers/contractors.

What makes you different from other cleaning companies?

Is Verde Cleaning insured and bonded?

Yes, Verde Cleaning is both insured and bonded.

What if I’m not happy with the cleaning?

We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee policy! Notify us within 24 hours of the clean with photos, and when there was clearly an error on our end, we will return to finish the job free of charge. We are not liable for re-cleans that could have been caused by people and / or pets that were in the home while the team was on location. Examples: dirt on the floor, smudges on the wall, etc.

Can I trust your staff?

100%. We only hire staff who we would trust in our own homes. We first screen resumés, then do a phone interview, then meet them in person. We are cautious and conscious about hiring trustworthy, efficient and pleasant staff members. Each Verde Cleaning employee has also been verified with a background check.

Do you offer gift certificates?

How often should I use house cleaning services?

This depends on many factors, such as how busy you are, how many people live in your home and whether you have pets.

Do we need to sign a contract for a specific amount of time?

Residential (home) cleaning is not on a time contract, while commercial and institutional is on a minimum of a 1 year contract.

What's the ideal cleaning plan?

Start with initial deep clean and necessary add-ons (we will develop this cleaning plan together) to get all areas 100% up to date. To maintain this cleanliness, you can choose a frequent maintenance plan based on how necessary it is. You can then repeat the deep cleaning service twice a year, depending on foot traffic through your home/building.

I can’t afford the ideal plan – what is best for me?

Find a family member or friend who can assist with quick cleanings such as floors and dusting, then trust Verde Cleaning to visit 1–4 times annually to focus on the specialty, deep cleaning and add-on services. This way we can work together to keep your home in great shape.

What if something is damaged during a service?

We let you know ASAP if something is broken. If possible, we will repair or replace the item. If not, rest assured that Verde Cleaning, including each of our cleaners, is fully insured, so claims can be filed when appropriate.

Team FAQ's

What are the hours?

Most cleaning days start at 8:30 a.m. and are done when the jobs are done. We try to keep days till around 5 p.m. Employees are required to stay on site till the clean has been finished, unless otherwise discussed prior to the clean. 

Is there a uniform? If so, what?

We supply green Verde Cleaning shirts. Team members supply their own black bottoms (no shorter than above the knee.)

Will I get time off?

We simply ask for a two-week notice for time off. It is your choice to have statutory holidays off.

How much will I be paid?

During training, you will be paid $19/hour. Cleaners receive $20/hour, with  raises as your responsibilities grow.

Minimum time with Verde Cleaning?

We ask that you commit to working with us for at least six months.

Is driving time paid?

Yes. You are paid for all driving time between clients, including a fuel reimbursement each payroll.

Do I work alone or in a team?

Most jobs require a team of two, while deep cleans can have up to eight people working at a single location.

Do I have to bring supplies?

All supplies are provided by Verde Cleaning.

What products should I learn about?
Do I need my own transportation?

Yes, but carpooling is an option in certain circumstances.

How often do we get paid?

Bi-weekly on Friday.

Do I need to pass a background check?

Yes.

What happens if I break something?

Accidents happen. Take a photo immediately and send it to management. We will take care of the rest.

Are part-time positions available?

Yes. We require a minimum of three days during the work week (Monday – Friday). Saturdays are optional.

Can I grow in the company?

Absolutely! We push for that! Growing = more responsibility = more pay.

Are the clients at home when we clean?

It really depends on the client. We find that half of our clients choose to stay home.
